Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in other belong to us as well.”  – Voltaire

As we bring 2014 to a close, I want to thank everyone for their support of Successful Culture. As someone who knows firsthand how hard it is to transform a business dream into a reality, I’m honored and blessed for the opportunities to help my clients achieve their goals.

The trust, growth, and success of my clients is my top priority at Successful Culture. When we’re not engaged in our weekly strategy sessions, coaching calls, email exchanges, or on-the-spot triage conversations, I’m looking for additional ways to bring added value and knowledge to those that have entrusted me with their business goals. I strive to deliver excellence, value, and meaning in every interaction.

Last week, Successful Culture held its inaugural Customer Appreciation Luncheon, where I honored all of my clients (both those in attendance, as well as those who were unable to make it). I shared with everyone the exceptional qualities of each client, and why they are leaders in their field. They are visionaries that have sought out and seized the opportunity to become better through our work. They have accepted the challenge of being held accountable for their decisions and actions. They know that often it is necessary to take a few steps backward to make a quantum leap forward. They face fear head-on, and push through uncertainty to get to the next levels.

Being able to bring them all together was an incredibly fulfilling experience. It re-affirmed for me something that I intuitively know: That by working with the CEOs and executives I support daily, I too have become a better leader, because they rightfully hold me to a high standard. When someone  entrusts you with their dream, they have a right to expect excellence and complete commitment in return. This is the trust-based relationship I cherish with my clients. And for this trust, I am profoundly grateful.

As we move into 2015, I am incredibly excited to be able to be a part of our client’s continued growth. They have some very ambitious goals regarding revenue growth, hiring, infrastructure, market expansion, product & service launches, and brand-building. The sky is the limit for Successful Culture clients!

I offer three simple yet powerful pieces of advice for you as you move forward:

1: Seek out support and help. Build your community of experts. Take the pressure off of yourself to know everything and do everything. Reaching out for help is the greatest sign of strength in leadership.

2: Maintain a positive mindset. The messages you tell yourself are the single most important messages you will hear from anyone. Be your greatest champion. Believing you can realize your potential, and knowing that you are strong enough to overcome your obstacles are the messages you must have to move forward. Without these beliefs, the rest of the messages are just noise.

3: Stay true to your core values. Your core values are your moral compass. They are your “true north” and are the heart of your company. They guide you forward in both good times and bad times. They determine every decision you make: what services you provide, who you work with, who you hire, how you conduct yourself. Once a company compromises their values, it sets a precedent, and starts moving the company down a slippery slope. Know who you are and stand behind it.

Community. Mindset. Values. Master these three, and 2015 will be a year of abundance, joy, growth, and success for you.

With deepest appreciation, and most sincere wishes for a wonderful holiday season.
