Through 30 years of entrepreneurship, Marissa has passionately supported many local and global charities, and has donated thousands of hours to nonprofits, schools, and organizations to mentor emerging entrepreneurs. From underwriting the inaugural Mentor-Protégé program for Women in Technology to volunteering in the classroom and as a business plan judge for National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), Marissa has always embraced the opportunity and responsibility to lift others with time, talent, and funding.

Marissa is especially passionate about supporting Tigerlily Foundation, a global nonprofit organization founded by Marissa’s “sister” Maimah Karmo that is committed to providing the required resources and support to young women diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer.
